ROCK ‘N’ ROLL DANCING

Rock  'N' Roll Dancing

Free the Rhythm!

Rock ‘N’ Roll is an infectious rhythm dance that’s popular with pupils of all ages. The rhythm encourages a certain type of body movement, such as twists and turns and foot movement. The dance itself has many forms. When no regular foot pattern is used, many people call it Le Roc. Many “natural” dancers use this form of Rock ‘N’ Roll.

For social dancers, we teach a simple single step foot movement known as Rock Basic, but we also try to encourage natural body movement and leg action. It is included in all our social classes.

Many of our Rock ‘N’ Roll dancers like to attend swing sessions, ‘60s nights and Hanger Dances. Those wishing to develop the dance further to include lifts can take personal tuition.
